ADD ON TRIPS AT HAVELOCK Snorkelling day trips – Basic package South Button is located about 1 hour and 40 min by boat from Barefoot Scuba and is by far the best snorkelling site off Havelock Island. This beautiful Islet looks like its emerged straight out of a fairytale and has the best coral & marine life. The eastern side boat of a beautiful expanse of coral garden and is suitable of all levels of snorkelers. There is no beach on this islet and snorkellers gear up on the boat. The boat moors a bit away from the islet as we don’t wish to damage the extremely shallow coral & snorkelers need to swim a bit to get to the reef. The reef starts at about a meter or so and although diving too is possible here, even divers prefer to stay shallow to enjoy the color and sheer beauty of this site. This includes pick up and drop from hotel to jetty + light lunch + snorkelling equipment. Per person: 2500 subject to minimum 02 persons Per Person: Rs 3000 subject to minimum 04 persons   Snorkelling day trips –Premium Proceed early morning by 0700 hrs to embark upon a snorkelling excursion, by country boat (dunghy) towards uninhabited islands in Ritchie’s Archipelago: South Button and Tamarind Camp – the former boasting the best coral diversity in a single location in the Andaman Islands and the latter a picturesque beach and forest setting. This beautiful Islet looks like its emerged straight out of a fairytale and has the best coral & marine life. The eastern side boat of a beautiful expanse of coral garden and is suitable of all levels of snorkelers. South button is a rock protruding from the sea and has the most diverse coral life; one can swim around this Island in a hour. After South Button we will take you to Tamarind Camp a further 30 minutes by boat where we will prepare fresh lunch while you can relax on the picturesque beach. Your tour guides are all members of the local Karen community (originally Burmese, and domiciled in Andaman since the days of the British Raj). Return back by evening and look back at your most exciting day in the Andamans Islands! (Highly recommended) If you’ve never tried Scuba, here is your chance to experience a new world in just half a day. Embark on the most exciting adventure thrill, wake up and proceed to the dive shop by 0730 hrs. Discover Scuba Diving will be taught to you by a PADI certified Instructor who will go over the important theory aspects with you and then accompany you to Elephant Beach which is approximately 40 min by boat from our dive centre or a suitable alternative site. At Elephant Beach your instructor will begin by allowing you to get comfortable while breathing with Scuba and then teach you 5 basic exercises in shallow water which you will use during your dive. This will be followed by one dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres (35 Feet!) at Elephant Beach (Experience being underwater for a minimum of 30 minutes!). Return back with a participation certificate issue by PADI. Spend the evening discussing your amazing experience. Note: We do not recommend this trip to Non Swimmers and people afraid of water. Per person: Rs 5000 includes drop to dive shop   Above Rates are inclusive of the following: 1. Meet and greet service at the airport. 2. STD AC Rooms at Port Blair and Havelock, unless specified. 3. Entry tickets & boat tickets at all sightseeing points mentioned in the itinerary. 6. Snorkelling equipment at Havelock during Eco tour as mentioned. Above Rates are not inclusive of the following: 1. Airfare/ Ship fare from mainland 2. Lunch & Dinner at respective hotels. 3. Snorkelling equipment during Wandoor Excursion (Jolly Bouy or Red Skin) 4. Camera charges at all sightseeing places. 5. Personal expenses of the guest at Port Blair & Havelock. 6. Vehicle at disposal 7. Any extra excursions or sightseeing apart from suggested tour itinerary. 8. Bay View Inn at Havelock does not provide any meals and the charges for the same are extra. 9. Optional activities as mentioned as add ons. Kindly note: Ross Island is closed every Wednesday. Anthropological Museum is closed on Thursday Fisheries Musuem, Cellular Jail, Samudrika is closed on Monday and National Holidays. Chatham Saw Mill, Forest Museum and Mini Zoo is closed on Sunday and National Holiday. Though it is our endeavour to stick to the tour plan in order to accommodate the above days we may shift the tour plan accordingly.   Port Blair Hotel Check out time: 1. Most of the hotels have an early check out time and we do not have any control over the same. Incase there is not a heavy rush the hotel management may extend a late check out at their discretion. Guests will need to Honor the check out time as per the hotel policy. The above package has been created based on our guest inputs and personal visits to all these circuits. We would like to help guest experience the true Andamans and hence have refrained from putting places or circuits just for filling up the itinerary. PLEASE NOTE:  1- The above rates are not valid from 20th Dec 2009 to 15th Jan 2010 2- Kindly note that only Barefoot at Havelock is located on Beach No 7 ( Radhanagar Beach, Rated as the Best Beach in Asia) and all other hotels mentioned are located on Beach no 5 & 3 around 08 kms away from Beach No 7. 3- Please note that the Jolly Bouy / Skin Island snorkelling trip rate is only applicable for Indian Nationals for foreigners there is a further charge of Rs 600 per person. 4- Fortune Hotel sells rooms only on AP plan in December and January. A surcharge of Rs 1100 per room per night during 24 Dec 09 – 02 Jan 10. Fortune Hotel charges Rs 750 extra for Sea Facing rooms; they have only 10 such Sea facing rooms. The package rates includes STD AC Rooms on CP plan and hence the above rates will change in December and January. 5- Sinclair Bay View sells rooms only on MAP Plan in December and Janurary 10. Special high season charge from 21 Dec – 03 Jan 10 is Rs 2000 per room per night. 6- Port Blair & Havelock Hotels have early check out times and request you to note the same accordingly. We do not have any control over the same and request guest to co operate on the same. 7- The Government ferry which is used to travel between Port Blair – Havelock takes between 03-04 hrs travel times. It is our endeavour to guarantee the best seat on this ferry but having a capacity of only 100 passengers sometimes getting preferred seats is difficult though we will ensure that the guest is boarded on the ferry. 8- We can arrange Private Charters between Port Blair – Havelock at a extra cost of Rs 22000 for a 01 way trip. This is a super fast boat and can take maximum of 08 passengers (Cost remains the same for 01 or 08 passengers). The travel time is between 1-1.5 hrs. 9- All the eco tours and activities are subject to weather conditions.   CANCELLATION POLICY 1- For cancellations received 30 days or more – 100% refund; 2- 7 days or more – 50% refund; 3- Less than 7 days in advance of arrival – no refund 4- No refund for cancellations on bookings from 20 Dec ’09 – 10 Jan ’10. 5- No refunds for unused nights or early check-out.
